The Staff ‘We treat your pet as if it was our own’

Clive Munns BVSc CertGP(SAM) MRCVS

Although born in Surrey, Clive grew up and studied in South Africa. He qualified from University of Pretoria and returned to England in 2002. Since then, he has been in practice in the UK, mainly in Kent. Clive gained a further qualification in small animal medicine earlier this year. Clive has a special interest in dog and cat medicine as well as a great interest in exotic and wild species and is currently enrolled in a Certificate of Zoological Medicine.

Jane Hopper MA VetMB CertZooMed MRCVS

Jane was born in Canterbury and qualified from Cambridge University in 2002. After spending 4 years in private practice, she made the move to full time zoo work. Jane now works full time as a zoo vet. So, although Jane is a partner in the practice, and married to Clive, she spends most of her days at the zoo! You will see Jane in the practice from time to time and she is available to see exotic animal cases as she has a specialist vet qualification in zoo and exotic animals.

Leah Dale RVN, Head Veterinary Nurse

Leah has been involved with veterinary work since 2003. She qualified as a veterinay nurse in Folkestone in 2006. She has 1 cat of her own called Miffy. Leah has a special interest in nursing exotic animals, and is often seen bathing a tortoise or feeding a parrot! Leah runs our nurses clinics and is studying pet nutrition.

Colin Armstrong BVM&S MRCVS

Colin is the new vet at the Clinic and will be working Fridays. He also grew up in Africa but went to school in Northern Ireland and qualified from Edinburgh Vet School in 2002. Colin has been working locally and is now going to work part time so he can take care of his daughter (and do plenty of housework!). During his free time he enjoys golf, DIY and looking after his two cats, Beaky and Binky.

Rosemary Munns, Practice Manager/Receptionist

Rosemary is new to the Veterinanry world, but has extensive pet experience. Rosemary has recently returned to the UK from South Africa, where she spent 24 years with a large menagerie of pets from pigs, sheep and horses to dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. At the moment she has 3 dogs, 3 cats and an Indian Mynah bird, all of which have been brought over from South Africa.

Andy Hopper, Receptionist/ Handyman

Andy is Jane's dad and has recently retired as a Chartered Surveyor where he did everything from selling cattle to surveying houses. He has always been an animal lover, and over the years must have taken Jane to practically every zoo in the country. He assisted behind the scenes when the practice was set up, and now welcomes the chance to become more involved as part time receptionist and general handyman. His two Siamese cats, Solomon and Cleo are inquisitive about him meeting other pets.

Clive and Jane are also on the committee of Worldwide Veterinary Services (www.wvs.org.uk), which is a charity that sends vets, nurses and equipment to places that need it all over the world. Clive has recently got back from a mission in Kenya but they have also been to Indonesia, India and many other places.
